He has in total 42 years of automotive experience starting his career as a motor vehicle apprentice and after only 5 years rising to become dealer service foreman. After his six years in the service side he decided it was time to raise the stakes by moving into sales of cars, trucks and motorcycl

es before being head hunted by the VW group uk to become a specialist in Contract Hire and leasing . While working with the VW group two significate successes stand out, the first was a contract purchase deal for 750 VW LT vans, however his greatest claim to fame is he was instrumental in launching the Skoda Octavia into the taxi market with a single sale for 1000 units with a retail value of over £12,000,000. Alans training and consultancy work has seen him work with Honda uk on auditing and service development of its dealers also working with individuals on Honda’s own CRM system. When working with Nissan uk his task was the development of the commercial business sales departments in the brands own specialist centers and being involved with the writing and application of development and marketing plans for individual dealerships. Alan is currently pursuing work with The Star Cooperation based in Germany, but consulting in the uk with a major German automotive manufacturer,after working in France for the last three years teaching French sales executives about what to expect when English expats arrive in dealership.
