ALUCAT® W18 DCTOP in Port Tanit, Mauritania, for Mauritanian Coast Guard.

Our team recently travelled to Mauritania for the handover and training of a W18 DCTOP designed for rescue and oil spill response operations.

The project was completed together with DESMI. ALUCAT personnel trained the operators in the use and handling of the boat, while DESMI demonstrated the foam monitor and other equipment installed onboard.

The practical training gave Mauritanian Coast Guard members the opportunity to test the boat and equipment package on the water before entering operational use.

One more ALUCAT® W30 has arrived at Kymenlaakso Rescue Department.

The boat was handed over in September and has now reached its new home. It is always great to see a completed boat arrive to it's new owners.

How much can a workboat carry?

More than you might think.

Every ALUCAT has a wide, flat deck that makes loading easier and more efficient. Depending on the model, some boats carry equipment and tools, while larger models can transport vehicles and large cargo. For example, our model W14 carries approximately 1600 kg (3,527.4 lbs), while W30 carries approximately 3000 kg (6,613.87 lbs).

Large deck space and high carrying capacity makes daily work easier, whether it’s maintenance work, rescue services or offshore duties.
