With the latest updates, all latest-generation Q Display users can now see battery voltage directly in the Q App. If you haven't checked yet, update your Q Display and open the Q App - it's already there.
Your boat's battery powers everything: Q Display, lighting, the fridge, phone charging, and most importantly, the engine start. In boats, lead-acid batteries are the most common. And unlike the lithium batteries found in phones and everyday electronics, lead-acid batteries give no clear state of charge or visual indication of how much is left. Voltage is the only reliable way to know, and repeatedly dropping below 12.0V can permanently damage your battery. That's why it is both important to understand what the battery voltage is trying to tell you, and to get alerted and act before it's too late.
