Another day and passenger side of the sillpanel. Luckily this is better. Driver side had been once allready fixed so it was more difficult to open all mig-weldings. This side need only slight inside repairs before I can weld the panel back. We have electric bead roller, but it some electrical issues which I tried to fix. So couldnt make the driver side ready.

Finally got a motivation to start the sillpanel repair. What a job. The driver side here, starting situation, stripping sillpanel out, and fitting new sillpanel. Couldnt make it ready cause I have to fix the inside reinforcements and floor too. So, only rough fitting of sillpanel now.

Slow motion in the work with the car. But magnesium sump and block were glass blasted, so atleast something has been done with it.

Something finally happening. The engineparts are now shipped to https://www.kansiset.net/ where they will look all through and assemble the engine. Some problems we know, original 850 Abarth steel crankshaft is cracked and needs repairwelding and machining. I have two sets of Abarth pistons and both are missing one piston. I dont have proper conrods at all and clutch parts are missing too. So, lets see how it turns out.

Havent done much with the car lately. But, found a brand new 5 speed gearbox. Italian replica, not original. But atleast it has correct reversed gears. R in 1 place and 1 in 2 place etc. ZF style.

For the show we assembled the gauges, steering wheel and retro bucket. The Jaeger gauge setup is ex-works Abarth. It has mechanical RPM gauge and mechanical oilpressure gauge. Need to find the RPM rotator for it though.

Classic Motorshow 2023, done. Hard push on last week and we got it on rolling condition. Now, deep breath before we can continue working with this. But, next we strip the wheels out and take them to some pro wheel fixer, the outer lips are badly bent and very rough. The wheels dont keep air in, so moving the car is real pain.

How lucky you can be? Just found original last spec Abarth radiator which includes the oilcooler. 🥹
Not sure if it was in this particular car, but its from the Esko K Virtanens old stock, so could have been.

Its getting there. We will make a product of the flare. Lasercutting that you can just weld in place and its 100% right.
