VENDIA is a special plywood developed for wooden boat building. It is a sustainable product with a low carbon footprint, being made from renewable northern european raw materials. VENDIA combines the properties of massive wood with the benefits of plywood products. The first point being; the use of the sliced veneers enhances the high quality appeal of a natural beautiful board and just as importantly the plywood performs well under stress and humidity, hence it is flexible and long lasting. The surface layers are made from knot free sliced veneers. Easy to use and store, like other marine plywood. The top layers are made from knot-free sliced veneers. The use of water- resistant glue guarantees a exceptionally versatile material, that has proven its longevity for many years.
