Pump Installation & Start-Up Checklist
1- Read and understand the instruction manual.
2- Use a proper foundation.
The foundation should be rigid, level and clean of debris.
3 - Install the base on the foundation.
4 - Install the pump and the driver on the baseplate.
5 - Add the proper oil to the proper level in the bearing housings (pump, gear reducers, etc.)
6 - Check initial alignment.
7 - Ground the base to the foundation.
8 - Install piping. Read piping guidelines below.
9- Complete a second alignment check, and readjust piping as needed.
10- With the coupling element removed, complete a rotational check of the driver.
11- Verify correct pump settings.
12 - Install ancillary equipment.
13- Install coupling and/or insert.
14- Complete the pre-startup check procedure; fill and vent the pump and system, and check the system valve and component "lineup".
15- Recheck alignment to ensure that fluid weight in the piping didn't cause a change in the alignment.
16- Start the unit.
17- Check for proper indicators such as pressures, flows, temperature, vibration and noise.
18- Recheck alignment. Perform "hot alignment" if fluid is above 200°F.

2. Overheating: _Excessive slipping of the clutch, such as during towing or frequent stop-and-go traffic, can cause the clutch components to overheat. This can lead to premature wear and failure.

3. Hydraulic System Failure: _The hydraulic system that operates the clutch can fail, causing the clutch to become stuck or unable to fully disengage. This can be due to leaks, a faulty master or slave cylinder, or air in the system.

4. Clutch Disc Damage: _The clutch disc can become damaged due to contaminants, such as oil or grease, getting onto the friction surface. This can cause the disc to slip or become uneven, leading to clutch failure.

5. Improper Adjustment:- If the clutch pedal travel is not properly adjusted, it can lead to premature wear or improper engagement of the clutch, resulting in failure.

6. Improper Installation:_ If the clutch components are not installed correctly during a replacement or repair, it can lead to premature failure.

7. Excessive Force:_ Repeatedly engaging the clutch with excessive force, such as during aggressive driving or towing, can cause damage to the clutch components and lead to failure.

If you suspect a clutch issue, it's important to have it inspected and repaired by a qualified mechanic to prevent further damage to the vehicle's transmission and drivetrain.
