Af en toe moet je als kleine ondernemer gewoon iets leuks doen met de groep mensen waarmee je met veel plezier samenwerkt.
Deze keer was een mooie gelegenheid om met allemaal auto gekkies en F1 fans naar de F1 Exhibition te gaan in de Kromhouthal in Amsterdam.
Het was een mooie namiddag en een smaakvolle avond waarbij we nog een een heerlijke diner kregen aangeboden door de Familie Houtkamp.
Het was een mooie woensdag dank aan iedereen die erbij was.

It’s all about the details.
Also this stunningly beautiful and rare DB5 Cabriolet is closing in on the final stage of the restoration.
Soon we will have the excitement of the first engine start, oil and coolant is in.
Only fitting the stainless steel exhaust system has to be done and then vroom vroom.
Next project is already on the car lift but All of you have to wait a bit before I reveal it.

It has been awhile that we posted some content.
Still working on several projects but mainly this Aston Martin DBS.
Getting parts is sometimes difficult from the UK due to the Brexit hassle.
But nevertheless things getting shape interior is partly in now and seat hinges are now send of for re chrome while the other parts will get a new zinc coating.
If there is something I learned over the 30 years I do car restorations is make pictures of the parts you send of to third parties.
Still you have to pray 🙏 for it to receive all the parts back for reassemble.
For now I stay hopeful.
This DBS is now at the upholstery firm for reupholstery of the Webasto sunroof.

Slowly but steady we keep on building on this DBS.
Since the car has been stored very badly in Greece years ago we now have to remake several panels in the wheel whells new.
Having only 2 original panels we had to make new templates.
Starting with cardboard knive and scissors felt a bit like preschool again.
After complete fitment of the cardboard onto the car I could trace it out on aluminum.
Since all these panels are made to fit that particular car Aston Martin numbered every panel with the chassis number of the car it was made for, so who am I to do it different.
Now that they all fit perfectly on the DBS the time is there to have them etch primed and painted so they can be fitted for the last time on the car.
So now up to the next item of the car making the gearbox cover to fit onto the new manual gearbox.
