MERCEDES R107 V8 SLC MAMPE TRIBUTE. Looking good!. From concept to combustion—this race engine is officially ready to go.

Built in-house at PRO-1 PERFORMANCE, this unit has been engineered with a clear objective: maximum reliability under extreme load, consistent power delivery, and precision at every RPM. Every tolerance checked, every component balanced, every system validated. Lots of parts custom engineered and CNC machined to optimize results.

This isn’t just another build—it’s a tribute to the legendary Mampe Endurance Mercedes SLC 450. Certainly playing a key role in establishing AMG as a performance tuning partner for Mercedes-Benz.

MERCEDES R107 V8 SLC MAMPE TRIBUTE. PRO-1 PERFORMANCE custom designed and machined adjustable sprockets. Setting the timing for the new race camshafts. We have designed aggressive mechanical profiles from the mild hydraulic original cams so the valve lash adjusters have been modified accordingly. Perfect match for the CNC machined ported cylinder heads and internals. More to come, stay tuned!

MERCEDES SL R107 MAMPE tribute. PRO-1 PERFORMANCE valvetrain development. Following comprehensive port development on the flowbench and precision CNC machining of the cylinder heads, we have installed custom-engineered valve springs, base plates, retainers and oversized flat-face 7mm stem valves. These upgrades were specifically implemented to fully optimize the performance of the new cams and high compression billet big bore pistons.
