🏍️ Spain, November, 30 riders — and you're invited.

Mediterranean Routes is teaming up with Horizons Unlimited Motorcycle Travel for the HU Travellers Meeting Spain 2026 — and this year HU celebrates 25 years of meetings that have inspired thousands of riders to take the road less travelled.

📍 A peaceful private finca in L'Alfàs del Pi, Costa Blanca — between the beach and some of the best mountain roads in the region
🗓️ Friday 6 – Sunday 8 November 2026

The plan:
🔥 Friday – arrive, settle in, cook together on the BBQ
🏰 Saturday – ride out to Guadalest and the nearby motorcycle museum, afternoon coffee at the beach
🎤 Saturday evening – presentations from fellow travellers (bring your photos and your stories!)
🛣️ Sunday – maybe one last ride together before goodbyes

These roads are our backyard. If you've ever wondered what the Costa Blanca looks like away from the beach towers, this is the weekend to find out.

This is why we do it.

This week we are riding through Navarra, and one look at their faces says it all. The grins when they pull off their helmets, the laughter over dinner, everyone wanting to talk about the best bend of the day. That’s what every trip is about for us. Not the miles, not the hotels. Seeing them this happy.

There’s a road in Spain that locals call La Ruta del Silencio — the . And the name says everything.
No traffic. No noise. Just the engine humming beneath you, the wind, and kilometre after kilometre of empty backroads curving through a Spain that most travellers never see — villages where time stands still, horizons that open with every bend.
Right now I’m riding it alongside the team at , sharing the road as they cross the country. Some nights under canvas, tents pitched where the silence is loudest. Others in handpicked hotels, a good meal and a proper rest before the next stretch. Camping and comfort, woven into one journey.
This is what riding Spain should feel like. Not a route on a map — a country you breathe in from the saddle.
The road is calling. The only question is when you answer it.

Heading to Spain? I always carry my GHIC - it's free, fast and it can get you state medical care if the worst happens. But here’s the thing: GHIC helps with emergency treatment and replacement prescriptions, yes - but it doesn’t replace travel insurance. I bring both. Always.

Why? GHIC gets you into the state system; travel insurance covers repatriation, long-term costs and the gaps GHIC won’t. Remember the checklist: apply for GHIC, get travel insurance, pack enough meds and keep records of prescriptions. Simple admin: big peace of mind.
