At PPG, we know that innovation doesn't happen on its own. Behind every solution are employees whose leadership, expertise, and commitment help drive our business forward. Today, we're proud to recognize one of those individuals, Luca Colombo, who was selected as a recipient of the 2026 Rainmaker Award.

Luca, a Waterborne Products Development Lab Manager, leads a team dedicated to developing new waterborne products for our market. His ability to lead a large team to success under accelerated timelines, communicate effectively across business functions and levels, and consistently demonstrate focus, commitment, and integrity are just some of the qualities that set him apart.

The Rainmaker Award is the highest honor granted by PPG's leadership team across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. It recognizes employees who don't just meet expectations but transform them. In 2026, 16 employees were selected for acting with purpose and speed while continuing to champion customer success, and Luca was among them. Luca's recognition is especially significant as it reflects the growth and progress achieved by the S&T Milan team over the last three years and represents the first Rainmaker Award earned by the facility.

For many across EMEA, today’s solar eclipse is a rare opportunity to witness an incredible astronomical event. Depending on where you are, the partial eclipse may last for nearly two hours, while those in the path of totality will experience about 2 minutes and 30 seconds of complete darkness.
