What if your Atlantic downwind sail could do two jobs in one?

With the ARC getting closer, we’re bringing back one of our most-watched stories: the IFS Tradewind sail developed for one of the Privilège Marine catamarans and her Atlantic crossing.

The idea was simple: make long-distance downwind sailing easier, especially for couples and small crews.

Using OneSails’ Integrated Furling Structure, the sail works in two configurations:

⛵ Wing-on-wing for long downwind passages, with no mainsail required
⛵ As a single reaching sail when the angle changes

Less hardware. Less complication. More flexibility when you have thousands of miles ahead of you.

One of the projects currently in development is our CLIP RING, a lightweight sail attachment system designed to make sail handling faster, simpler and more secure.

The concept replaces several traditional fastening components with a single element, and is being developed in different materials and configurations to suit different sails and loads.

From early prototypes to carbon versions and real-world testing, every iteration helps us understand where we can reduce weight, simplify handling and improve reliability.

The project is still under development, with further testing and refinement ahead.

Because sometimes the most useful solutions start with asking whether the standard way of doing something is really the best one.

At Copa del Rey, we were proud to see women racing onboard boats powered by OneSails International in some of the most demanding positions in the crew: on the bow, calling tactics, trimming, steering and making decisions where every second matters.

Different roles. Different boats. Same thing in common: skill, trust and a serious place in the racing team.

Custom Race Line Bag Design.

Following sea trials, we upgraded four custom race line bags for GEIST to give them more rigidity and a self-supporting, box-like shape.

After testing different corner-stiffening solutions, including CNC-machined prototypes, we chose a fully integrated batten construction.

The final solution uses surplus C-TECH batten offcuts, combining a practical setup for the crew with reduced material waste.

Tested onboard. Refined in the loft.

Two weeks on from Copa del Rey MAPFRE, we’re still looking back at some of the highlights from Palma.

The Baleària Women’s Cup brought together 15 all-female teams for four days of close one-design racing in the BluSail 24 fleet.

A detail we’re especially proud of: every BluSail 24 in the fleet raced with OneSails sails.

Congratulations to all the teams, and to Baleària Team RCNP on taking the 2026 title.

Carbon Bowsprit Extension – VOR65

For this VOR65 project, the carbon bowsprit was extended by 50 cm to improve sail geometry and aerodynamic performance.

Working to the naval architect’s composite layup schedule, our team CNC-machined a custom mold in-house and rebuilt the structure in multiple carbon lamination stages to a final thickness of 11 mm.

The original mounting holes were filled and sealed, with new holes precision-bored at the extended tip for the pignose fitting using a custom 3D-printed jig.

The project also included a new PBO-Zylon bobstay sized for a 5-tonne breaking load, together with two new custom tack lines prepared by our rigging team.

From composites and CNC tooling to rigging and final installation, the full project was completed within two weeks.

At the Privilege shipyard the sails for LUCKY, a Privilege 650, are being prepared for delivery and sea trials.

Projects like this rely on close collaboration, and the Privilege team has made every effort to support us throughout the process, helping us measure, check, set up and fit the sails correctly.

And we found the perfect T-shirt for the occasion: Dream Shapers. Quite fitting when a new yacht is this close to taking shape.

Next stop: sea trials.
