The road tax forms for Mazarron are now avaiable online to download, You should receive a letter like normal, but if not you can download the form. I have made a short video to help..
1, go to https://agenciatributaria.carm.es/duplicadorecibos
2, under Tributo select “ I Vehículos tracción mecánica “
3, under población select “mazarron”
4, enter you NIE number in the box marked “N.I.F.”
5, enter the car registration number in the box marked “Matricula”
6, click on “Enviar”
A new tab should open with the payment form to print out

🚛 Trailer Law in Spain – What You NEED to Know

If you’re towing a trailer in Spain, the 750kg rule is everything. It completely changes the legal requirements.

⚖️ Under 750kg (Light Trailer – “Remolque ligero”)

👉 This is the simplest category.

Key points:

* ✅ No separate registration (uses the same number plate as the car)
* ❌ No ITV (MOT) required as a separate vehicle
* ❌ No separate insurance (covered by towing vehicle policy)

Paperwork required:

* ✔️ ITV / technical card (ficha técnica)
* ✔️ Documentation for the tow bar (homologation certificate)

📌 Important: Even though it doesn’t need its own ITV, it must still be roadworthy and may be checked when your car goes for ITV.

⚖️ Over 750kg (Heavy Trailer – “Remolque no ligero”)

👉 This is treated as a vehicle in its own right.

Key differences:

* ✅ Own red number plate
* ✅ Must be registered with its own permiso de circulación
* ✅ Requires its own insurance
* ✅ Must pass regular ITV inspections

🧾 ITV Rules (Very Important)

Under 750kg:

* ❌ No ITV required

Over 750kg:

* ❌ No ITV for first 2 years
* 🔁 Every 2 years (up to ~6–10 years depending source/type)
* 🔁 Then yearly
* 🔁 Over 10 years → every 6 months

👉 Under 750kg = simple (like an extension of your car)
👉 Over 750kg = treated as a separate vehicle with full legal requirements
