🚗✨ Torremolinos has launched its new Low Emission Zone (L*Z)! 🌍
This innovative urban mobility project is designed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by over 40% in the most trafficked areas. 🌱 From now on, certain vehicles will be restricted in access to this zone, but don’t worry – there are plenty of ways for eco-conscious travelers to enjoy Torremolinos in a cleaner, greener way! 🌿
What you need to know:
📍 Location: The Low Emission Zone covers various streets, including:
✔️ A stretch of Hoyo between Eduardo Aguilera and Maestra Miret
✔️ Río Aranda, Eduardo Aguilera, Maestra Miret, and the Avenue of Manantiales (from Picasso Square to Isabel Manoja)
🕒 Hours: The L*Z is active 24/7, year-round. Here's how it works:
✅ Vehicles with CERO, ECO, or C environmental labels can pass freely at all times.
✅ Vehicles with a B label are allowed from 9 PM to 8 AM or anytime if they’re for loading/unloading, accessing private parking, or visiting hotels.
💡 For Tourists:
No need to worry about restrictions if you’re exploring the town by foot, bike, or using public transport! If you’re driving, check if your vehicle qualifies for unrestricted access and download the ‘Torremolinos ZBE’ app to manage access requests for garages, medical transport, or special needs.
💸 Fines: Driving into the L*Z without authorization could result in a €200 fine (or €100 if paid within 20 days). No points are deducted from your license, but staying informed will help you avoid penalties!
