Audi RS3 DAZA 2.5 Turbo having a new air oil separator/ PCV , new crankshaft pulley oil seal and a new sump gasket. Also the Quattro running gear oil change to transfer and rear differential. 🏁

She's been in for a 150k overhaul inc..Full set of suspension shocks springs and top mounts, Tiptronic gearbox service, engine service, new speakers , new bonnet gas struts and brembo brake pads also a new air oil separator.

The Random fun adventures VW Tiguan having her much needed timing belt and coolant pump, she was recovered in for excessive coolant loss on strip down a very stiff bearing and leaking coolant pump found another lucky one as we had advised a change 2 months back when in for a fuel pump repair now holding coolant and off for more adventures 🏁

Audi A8 3.0 TDI 2011. Grúas in from breakdown in Tarifa the customer complaint was not charging overheating and alternator fault on dashboard...also investigate hesitation on power. On investigation a 2 part harmonic balancer was found and a blocked inline fuel filter hidden away under the covers an original part and km on 260000 running lovely once again. 🏁

Stuck injector removal - no problem That one took some patience using the TIG , pneumatic hammer plus 3 different slide hammers....and one tool welded to the injector itself! There's no deposit returned on this now scrap unit yet the other 4 came out by hand 🏁

🔧 Nissan Qashqai J11 – HR13DDT Engine | Intermittent Judder & Misfire

Another challenging non VW group diagnostic job that required a bit of in-depth investigation the client had asked for a 3RD opinion buy us after months of the car not working correctly 😫

This Nissan Qashqai J11, fitted with the HR13DDT engine, had been suffering from an intermittent judder when running under load, particularly in a high gear at low RPM.

The vehicle had already been to a local garage and subsequently to a main Nissan dealer, with the problem continuing for several months.

We carried out our own diagnostic investigation, starting with live data monitoring during a road test. By carefully reproducing the fault, we were able to bring on three fault codes and capture the relevant data while the intermittent misfire was occurring.

We then analysed:
🔹 Camshaft adjustment angle data
🔹 Fuel trim figures
🔹 Misfire-related data
🔹 Engine parameters under load

The data pointed us towards the camshaft timing/adjustment system, so we carried out a further inspection of the timing chain and chain adjuster.

This led to the decision to replace the timing chain assembly as basically the stretch was one link or a tooth out..

✅ Following the repair, the vehicle was road tested thoroughly and the intermittent judder/misfire fault was completely resolved.

Another example of why proper live-data analysis and controlled fault reproduction can be so important when dealing with intermittent faults.

🔧 Diagnosis first — Parts second
Yes we had it in for 2 weeks but one week alone was the wait for the special tool to lock the camshafts and crankshaft. We are just very happy for the client who were sadly loosing confidence in the car and we were able to restore 🏁

First job completed. These pedestrian protection SRS bonnet hinge igniters are on back order at all the local dealers at present so happily fitted the clients used parts sourced online and advised getting an order of new ones as these are commonly troublesome as get damp or flooded in the scuttle panel area.
