Sometimes we get very disappointed in our competitors, those who are supposed to be professional mechanics, should provide the same quality and professionalism that we do.

we try to keep the story short😅

a customer contacts us via message the customer wants a price, for replacing the flywheel and starter motor, i call the customer up to get a better understanding of the job,

we already thinks everything sounds strange on such a new car, it turns out that the car is difficult to start and jumps jerkily when starting, the customer has already received a price quote from another workshop that can do the whole job for 4000e, the workshop has not even checked the car but says that it is a common fault,

this must be done otherwise the engine will fail and break down, the customer also contacts another workshop that can do the job for half the price, I tell the customer come by with the car and make sure that we have a lift free for diagnostics, the same day we talk she comes up with the car we lift it up it finds a large oil leak from the oil plug,

it is the same workshop that has given a price for a job they have not even diagnosed or looked at to find the right fault, we tell the customer what we need to remove including the starter motor to be able to see the damage to the flywheel, customer leaves the car and we start diagnosing the problem. We contact the customer later and can confirm that the flywheel is in top condition,

but during testing we see very quickly and clearly that the starter motor is bad, so the whole problem with the car is a starter motor for 215e plus VAT, we have no words for how both sad and cursed we actually become at that workshop, that tried to scam a customer 4000e for a job that is far below that price, of course we performed a service oil oil filter air filter and changed the oil plug, the customer received both a service and a new starter motor, the car was able to leave our workshop the next morning, I am really ashamed of our colleagues in this profession who do not take responsibility and diagnose the problems, instead of giving customers extreme prices and parts that do not need to be replaced,

once again I see why we here at Nordic Quality Car Repairs always inform the customer, explain why this particular part should be replaced and what is broken, we never keep the customer from finding out why these parts and jobs need to be done, we can always inform the customer with pictures or on site, we always save the customer's parts for them to know what has been changed, 🚙🫣
