6 steps to recruiting during the Covid pandemic.

1. Advertise roles on LinkedIn, ask your team to share the post.
2. Tag the country you are recruiting in, the role itself and other key words like jobs, recruiting, careers, etc.
3. Add a job ID code. If you are hiring for multiple roles, it makes it much easier, to sort through CVs
4. Choose several key criteria that are important for the role. Industry, management or general experience, languages spoken, and current location are good examples of this. Score these based on importance.
5. Carry out panel interviews on Teams or Zoom and have a panel of a minimum three staff.
6. Select top 5 candidates and carry out another round of interviews. During the interviews ask candidates to prepare a 15-minute presentation on their plans if selected for the role from 3 months – 3years. Use different staff to gain more opinions.

This process allowed us to within a couple of weeks filter through 100s of CVs and find several strong candidates from across the globe.

Although the role has still not been finalised I thought the process worked well and could be useful to others.
