Every remanufactured BUDWEG caliper undergoes a full end of line test performed by trained technicians:

Functional & dimensional testing

• Compressed air test at 23 ±2 bar
• Test block tolerance verification (±0.3 mm)
• Piston rollback validation
• Handbrake lever movement checks (3–5 mm)

Visual & identification checks

• Casting code
• Left/right configuration
• Correct assembly
• Lubrication and sealing surfaces

Product validation

This is the final step before the caliper is prepared for delivery - ensuring BUDWEG quality in every brake caliper.

In this stage, critical mechanical areas are remanufactured:
• All threads are recut
• Brass bushings are replaced
• Worn bushing areas are machined and fitted with new Teflon bushings

🔍 Improving Traceability in Remanufactured Brake Calipers

As part of our continued focus on quality, transparency, and full product traceability, we are initiating a test phase for an improved marking solution on our brake calipers.

Purpose of the Change
✅ Enhance readability and durability of product information
✅ Support more efficient tracking throughout the value chain
✅ Ensure consistent product identification independent of surface structure

The test applies to brake calipers remanufactured in Denmark and does not affect specifications, performance, or logistics.
