My mother and father gettered because of love they said, and jumped each other in the hen house, would that be the reason why I want 3 fried eggs every morning ;-)
Let me put it this way, Im more of lets have a QSO guy, rather than a 5/9 merchant :-) 73s Back in the late 70's ealy 80's I lived and worked a few years in Salford "Manchester UK", and then laiter on I spent 3½ years in Norway. Moved
back home to Denmark in 1985, and I'm now living in a small village a few miles south of my hometown. I've been in the transport business for more than 40 years, working with Ships, TAXI, Busses, Trucks and Trains. I do enjoy Sailing, Fishing, Cooking, Vintage mopeds, 50 USA cars, Rockabilly music, and all things from the 50's, playing Guitar, Tube guitar amps and linears, and DXing :-p
As early as I can remember I've always been fascinated by electronics, music and radio equipment. My first memory's about getting infected with the radio virus was when I was 5 - 6 years old, and I were listening to some very strange speaking AM radio stations together with my father on our 1960 Gratz Amabille 1052 kitchen tabletop radio. I've been on 11m since 1974 on and off, and I have done many DX'ing, collected loads of QSL cards from around the world on the 11 metre band SSB mode, which has always been my favorite mode too work prorogation or groundwave when i started radio back in my youth. Back in 1991 I started up the TRANS WORLD DX Club together with a friend of mine, and we did manage to spread it out to the rest of the world. After my friend "Henrik" 47TW002 went silent key in 1998 the TRANS WORLD DX Club was taken over by "Monica" 14TW001 and her fiancé 14TW002 in Dunkerque. Ham radio is a great hobby and has provided me with many wonderful memories, and I learn something new from each QSO I had, mostly because I`m more of "lets have a QSO" guy rather than a 5/9 merchant... :-)
