Today is 🗓️

Let’s view art through the eyes of a child and see museums as spaces waiting to be explored. This was the message of the recent Ephra talk „Play date. Art meets play“, featuring Carsten Höller, author of „Book of Games. Spielebuch“, and Jenny Schlenzka, director of Gropius Bau. Moderated by Sebastian Frenzel (MONOPOL - Magazin für Kunst und Leben), the talk called for the lines between observer and creator to be blurred.

Ephra Talk is supported by Volkswagen Group Art4All.

A 400 km walk for music? When he was 20, Johann Sebastian Bach left his hometown in central Germany and travelled to Lübeck to meet the composer Dietrich Buxtehude, the undisputed master of his time.

Now, the French ensemble Pygmalion is retracking this journey on foot and by bike for their project 'In search of Bach'. The tour begins in Wolfenbüttel, where the acclaimed ensemble, conducted by Raphaël Pichon, pays tribute with their 'VERTIGO' concert in the historic Hauptkirche.

As a cultural partner, Volkswagen Group Culture supports this project to enable new ways of experiencing classical music.
