Becoming… Exceptional
My name is Dilara – and for me, development starts with an open conversation.
In the Inspire Top Talent Programme, my mentor Tom has been there to support me right from the start, both professionally and personally.
To me, honest dialogue and mutual trust are key elements for successful mentoring. As a mentee, I have learnt to get straight to the point, make bold decisions and remain solution-oriented even in complex situations. What made the biggest impact: being encouraged, challenged and trusted to grow early.
From Tom’s point of view, mentoring is more than passing on knowledge. As a mentor, he encourages diverse thinking, modern ways of working and proactively asks for my perspective as part of a different generation. This open dialogue helps him to reflect on his own routines and receive valuable feedback on his leadership role.
