From the first fitting to the finished bathroom.
Three stages of a Sirius 35 DS bathroom taking shape.

Swipe to follow the process:

1️⃣ The interior fit-out has only just begun. The space is still almost completely open and the final bathroom is only beginning to take shape.

2️⃣ The ceiling is already installed and underneath the visible surfaces are getting in shape, much of the important technical work is already in place. Seacocks, through-hull fittings, water pumps and other installations have been fitted, while the toilet and remaining systems are being installed and completed.

3️⃣ The finished result: a fully completed Sirius 35 DS bathroom, where craftsmanship, functionality and carefully integrated technical systems come together.

Many of the details that make a bathroom work so well on board are hardly noticeable once everything is finished — but they make a significant difference in everyday life at sea.

In one of our next posts, we will take a closer look at two details we very often recommend: the round washbasin and the high tap — and explain why both offer some surprisingly practical advantages on board.

After the lively peak season of July and August, the crew of the Sirius 40 DS „Amazing Grace“ is back on board and enjoying a very different side of the Mediterranean.

As September begins, the waters around Greece gradually become quieter again. With a little luck, an anchorage that was filled with dozens of yachts only a few weeks ago can suddenly feel wonderfully peaceful, relaxed and entirely your own.

For many Sirius owners, this is one of the greatest freedoms of life aboard: being able to choose when and where to go, following their own rhythm.

To simply stay a little longer, move on when it feels right and enjoy life at sea when the Mediterranean reveals its quieter side.

We wish Sylvia and Henning, the crew of „Amazing Grace“, a wonderful late summer sailing through Greece!

True craftsmanship often reveals itself in the details you barely notice.

Here, the decorative piping around the window frames is individually shaped and fitted by hand, with absolute precision, down to fractions of a millimetre.

It is a painstaking process. Every curve, every transition and every complex geometry has to meet perfectly before the final piece becomes part of the interior.

Once installed, most people will probably never consciously notice this particular detail.
And that is exactly the point.

A Sirius interior is made up of countless details like these. Individually, they may seem almost insignificant. Together, their precise proportions, clean transitions and harmonious lines create the calm and unmistakable feeling you experience when stepping aboard.

Nothing appears forced. Nothing interrupts the eye. Everything simply feels right.
That sense of harmony is not created by one spectacular feature. It is the result of hundreds of carefully considered details and the uncompromising precision of our boatbuilders.

Craftsmanship you may not always see —
but craftsmanship you can certainly feel.

After more than three hours of waiting, it was finally time for Sirius 35 DS “Clipper” to begin her ascent through Neptune’s Staircase, the longest staircase lock in Britain.

An impressive start to a very special passage through the Scottish Highlands.

The Caledonian Canal stretches for almost 100 km along the Great Glen, connecting Scotland’s east and west coasts. Along the way, 29 locks lift and lower boats through the dramatic Highland landscape, reaching the canal’s highest point at Loch Oich, around 32 metres above sea level.

What makes this route particularly fascinating is that only around one third of it is actually man-made canal. Most of the journey leads across natural freshwater lochs, including Loch Lochy, Loch Oich and, of course, the legendary Loch Ness.

For Clipper and her crew, Neptune’s Staircase marks the beginning of an unforgettable journey through one of Scotland’s most spectacular cruising grounds.

Fair winds, Clipper! We look forward to following your journey!

Some conversations are too important to pass through layers.

Buying a yacht is a deeply personal process.

It involves dreams, practical needs, sailing plans, questions, doubts, ideas and many decisions that will shape life on board for years. That is why direct communication with the yard is so valuable.

At Sirius, owners speak with the people who understand the yachts in detail and who are closely connected to their development, construction and long-term use.

This direct relationship helps us listen carefully, explain honestly and build yachts that truly match the people who will sail them.

For us, the relationship with an owner begins long before launch day and continues far beyond it.

If your cruising plans go beyond sailing from marina to marina, the tender quickly becomes an essential part of everyday life on board.

Whether you are spending days or even weeks moving from anchorage to anchorage in remote parts of the Caribbean, exploring quiet bays in Croatia or Greece, or disappearing into the seemingly endless Scandinavian archipelagos, the dinghy becomes your connection between the yacht and the world ashore.

It gets you dry-footed to the beach, into small villages for provisions, onto otherwise inaccessible islands, to local restaurants, or simply ashore for a walk through untouched nature.

And this is where davits make a surprisingly big difference.

Instead of turning every dinghy trip into a small operation, the tender can be launched and recovered quickly and comfortably from the stern. That ease of use means it actually gets used more often, sometimes several times a day, and becomes a natural extension of life on board.

Davits can be fitted not only to the Sirius 40 DS, but, as shown here, also to the Sirius 35 DS.

On our Sirius yachts, the davits can be swung inboard and can also be completely removed and stored away in the cockpit lockers. This keeps the stern clear whenever they are not needed and makes close harbour manoeuvres much easier.

It may seem like a relatively small equipment choice during the configuration of a yacht.

But for owners who love anchoring, exploring and spending long periods away from marinas, it can have a major influence on how comfortably and freely the yacht is actually used.

A small detail that can make a very big difference to how you explore the world by yacht.

There is something truly special about the long Scandinavian summer evenings.

The days do not simply end, they slowly fade into a soft dusk that seems to stretch on for hours.

At anchor in the sheltered skerries, surrounded by complete stillness, this Sirius 35 DS becomes part of a landscape defined by untouched nature, smooth granite shores, quiet forests and the breathtaking beauty of the Swedish archipelago.

Moments like these are about far more than just reaching a destination. They are about experiencing total peace, deep relaxation and the rare feeling of being completely immersed in wild and unspoilt surroundings. The silence is almost absolute, interrupted only by the subtle sounds of nature and the rich flora and fauna that make these anchorages so unique.

This is one of the great pleasures of cruising in Scandinavia: endless light, tranquil evenings, protected anchorages and the freedom to enjoy nature at its purest.

A Sirius yacht is made for exactly these moments:
When comfort on board meets the beauty of the natural world outside.

A huge thank you to everyone who came aboard our Sirius 35 DS, took the time to talk with us and shared such wonderful feedback.

One of the things we enjoyed most was seeing the reaction of visitors experiencing a Sirius for the first time. The surprised faces when stepping inside, discovering the sense of space, the deck saloon concept and all those details that are difficult to fully appreciate from photos alone.

Thank you also to for bringing together such a wonderful event and giving yacht enthusiasts the opportunity to experience so many high-quality yachts and boatbuilders in one place.

We also greatly enjoyed the conversations and exchange with our fellow yacht builders. Events like Open Yard are not only about presenting yachts, but also about meeting people, sharing ideas and celebrating our common passion for sailing and exceptional boatbuilding.

And although Open Yard has come to an end, you never have to wait for a boat show to visit Sirius.

Our boatyard in Plön, Northern Germany, is open to visitors throughout the year by appointment. We would be delighted to welcome you, show you how our yachts are built and give you the opportunity to experience the Sirius concept in person.

Looking ahead to 2027:
