8.30 pm yesterday: touchdown in LA! Yeeeeha! I’m really excited about this trip! Eric picked me up at LAX airport. “Anything is possible“ is the motto of this tour and does that sound good to me. This morning I met the OWT team for breakfast and they made me feel at home right away. On this USA tour there will be three further GS riders coming along with us: Jim, BMW Motorrad USA, Tim, BMW Motorrad Munich and Shawn, the GS instructor of the Californian enduro park Rawhide. I’m testing the new R 1200 GS for the first time in Hollywood! A lot of things are happening in my mind at this moment and fireworks seem to be going off in my skull! I will never forget this first night.

The BMW Museum is one of the most visited tourist attractions and recognised landmarks in Munich. It is, however, much more than a celebration of the past – a busy programme of events runs all year, the latest of which involves an exhibition of collections from the German Fashion and Design School.
