Piękny finał (a może nie) tej wspaniałej historii. Hurricane z Polish Heritage Flight wylądował w Powidzu i stanął obok naszych F-16 z Kruczej eskadry. Piękny widok i ogromny szacunek i gratulacje dla całej ekipy 😍
Nearly 7 years ago, volunteer Pilots & Groundcrew from the Historic Aircraft Collection Formed the Polish Heritage Flight.
None of that team were of Polish Heritage, but the Hurricane & Spitfire we operated, very much were of Polish Heritage… they had a story to tell.
In 2024 the plan was launched to fly our Hawker Hurricane to Poland, took shape in the form of Duxford To Deblin.
The road to Poland was not easy but our team, supporters, loved ones & friends believed in our mission. We remained relentless throughout.
Today Hawker Hurricane G-HURI arrived at the
33rd Air Base in Powidz, Poland.
On its wings are the memory of ALL those who served during the Second World War and those who never got to go home.
Today we bring their legacy home.
The people we owe this achievement to are far to numerous to list here but you know who you are and you should all be rightly proud.
