Hankook Ventus evo K137 - the ideal tyre for wet roads

Hankook has ensured that the Ventus evo K137 has wider cross grooves than the previous version (S1 evo3), which widen towards the sides of the tyre. This reduces noise and, together with the Ventus' large contact area, translates into even more effective braking on wet roads. According to the manufacturer, the improvement in deceleration efficiency is 7% over the previous version of the model. As a result, Hankook was able to put an A on the label in the category of driving on water-covered roads (the highest rating).

In addition, the tread has a bevelled rear edge, so the front edges can grip the road better. This means that a chamfering technique has been used. The Korean company proves in tests that the chamfering affects braking performance on dry roads - according to the manufacturer, 6% more than on the previous model. The tyre also owes a lot to the even pressure, uniform distribution of contact pressure, and optimised friction, making it a long-life tyre.
