The Aquanauts Swim for the Roses team has done it again. During the 20th edition of Swim for the Roses on January 25, 2026, they successfully guided 327 swimmers.
For 17 years, our team of volunteers has ensured that swimmers from Janthiel to Seaquarium reach the lagoon safely, despite challenging conditions.
Eric, Jordan, and Yolanda Wederfoort would first like to thank God for his protection and help. A special thanks also to our wonderful reefteam who support this beautiful cause with so much love every year.

This year, Aquanauts Dive Club was there again to give a helping hand to the participants of Swim for the Roses. It was great to cooperate with Princes Wilhelmina's fund. It was great to guide all the swimmers in the correct direction. Enjoy the pictures.

The 16th edition of walk, bike and swim for the Roses and the 11th year, The Aquanauts Swim for the Roses reef team assisted in safely guide the swimmers into the Seaquarium lagoon!! This can be very challeging ! We could only achieve with the help of our dear God and all the
volunteers! Today once again the members of Brigada Di Seguridad did a very good job.
they volunteer first at the walk, then bike and then swim!! What an achievement and perseverance!! Let us not forget the main reason we do it all our loved once fighting a hard battle💪🏾❤️, where some of us also supported them during the walk.

Aquanauts Swim for the Roses Reef team 2019!
Thank you Jesus for protecting the swimmers and our reef team members.

Joseph Duzong, Cris Angela, Charles De Haak, Arnold Guzman, Fred Collewijn,
Marlon Dompig, Geordan Richardson, Nathan Adriana, Crystal Gonet, Natanael Maria
and Jonathan Montessant. You went in the water under very rough conditions.
With this you demonstrated one more time that the safety of the swimmers is very important for
you.

As the Aquanauts group has been a little bit inactive for the past months due to various personal reasons, 7 of the members decided that it is time to start again diving. Reason why they gather at Blue Bay to have a nice and pleasant day diving and enjoying the beautiful beach at Blue Bay.
For almost all the participants Blue Bay was a new spot, they have not visit yet and after the dive everyone was very satisfied with what they have seen under water. All the fishes send their regards to the whole Aquanauts family and they hope to see everybody back again in the near future.
The group decided that pending the official come back of Aquanauts they will gather again next month on the 3rd week of February for another exciting dive.

Aquanauts celebrated Fathers day at kokomo beach with a fantastic dive. There were 21 divers with some family members who joined the group. Suzy and Reijer brought some hot "pastechi while Rhena Zimmerman celebrated her birthday with us at the beach. Also we had the visit of an very good friend Anthony Sommer. Thank you both for joining us.
After the dive we were invited by Chirsta and Alex for a tremendous lunch at their home where we followed the game Switzerland against Brazil. Also both Yolanda and Eric were surprised with a beautiful pictures that Christa and Alex made of them. They considered this as a gift of 25 years of friendship. Very nice gesture. Last Sunday our group had its monthly dive this time at Playa Piskado. We were with 23 divers and some family members who joined the group. The food was in hands of Darrell Prins and wife Liliana Prins Jaramillo
Suzy and Reijer brought some very delicious Pastechis. Two persons celebrated also that they got their Open water certificate. These persons were Delilla and Marlon Dompig. Congratulations. Today was the third week of the month and as usual the day that the Aquanauts dive group comes together for a nice dive. The venue this time was Sunset waters at Koral Ciff. This is a beautiful place and it is a pity that the former hotel has been destroyed completely and that still there are no signs of rebuilding.
The water was fantastic and after the dive we were spoiled by Niels Bouwmeester and Chela with a delicious meal and fruit punch. Niels Bouwmeester your efforts paid off as we all enjoyed the food. Congratulations.
We also want to thank Christa Allgayer Schulz and Alex for the delicious cake and our friend and big boss of Car audio to go, Jimmy Girigory for the delicious Oyster soup. Charles de Haak who also dive with us made sure that we all got some nice Aquanauts stickers to put on our cars. Thanks Charles.
We were with a total of 33 divers. Later this week we will get the professional video which is in the production room of our very dear friend Ellis Litecia.
