Power- Ports as driving Wheels of Entrepreneurial Realm

Nakon uspešne realizacije projekta PoWER, posvećenog pružanju podrške lukama na putu pretvaranja istih u inovativne habove i priključne tačke između različitih jadranskih teritorijalnih konteksta, početkom 2022. godine Evropska Unija finansirala je nastavak ovog projekta – šestomesečni projekat PoWER PLUS, čiji je glavni cilj bio ažuriranje i unapređenje glavnih rezultata POWER metodologije.

Ovim projektom definisani su glavni uticaji na luke u jadransko-jonskoj oblasti u svetlu izbijanja pandemije COVID-19, kao i nastale ekonomske krize.

On 30th June 2022, the online final meeting of the project “Ports as driving Wheels of Entrepreneurial Realm - PoWER PLUS", approved for funding within the framework of the Adriatic-Ionian Programme INTERREG V-B Transnational 2014-2020 was held.

At the event, all activities and results achieved within this successfully implemented project were presented. Within the project, detailed descriptions of the possibilities for the development of the port in the future were prepared, the annex of the PoWER methodology for the creation of innovative supply chains, as well as the PoWER strategy for the development of the port into innovative hubs was concluded. Also, the powerports.eu ICT platform was improved. Partners from 6 countries: Italy, Greece, Croatia , Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia, contributed to the successful realization of the PoWER PLUS project, with the aim of revealing the main problems that can affect the ports in the Adriatic-Ionian region in the short and medium term, in light of the outbreak of Covid-19 and the related economic crisis.

Scenarios foresight consists in developing stories or imaginary pictures of what the future could look like in order to explore them and learn from them. This is not supposed to provide definitive answers on how the future will be, but to consider plausible developments of our current reality in order to be prepared for what may happen in the future, thus providing support for responsible governance.

Three panels of experts from Italy, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, and Greece have already provided their opinions, but now WE WANT YOU TO HAVE YOUR SAY! We also ask you to help us in disseminating this initiative to collect further contributions. The mid-term meeting of the PoWER PLUS project...
📌 A topic was questionnaire, as the first step of the foresight process that will detect the main issues which may be affecting Adriatic-Ionian ports, dedicated to the collection of experts’ views on possible future scenarios related to the port areas involved in the project (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Greece, Italy and Serbia) also in consideration of the wider situation and trends in this area. The questionnaire has been developed with reference Next Generation EU and Agenda 2030 goals. It was also discussed about future events that will be organized by each project partners’ couple with the specific aim of increasing awareness among potential beneficiaries and stakeholders on the role of European Territorial Cooperation and of promoting the practical use, relevance and transferability of the project outcome
