Road Arrow is the first Serbian Formula Student team. We produce a new vehicle every year and compete all over “Drumsku Strelu” su osnovali studenti Mašinskog fakulteta Univerziteta u Beogradu u novembru 2010. Tim je činilo dvanaest studenata Mašinskog fakulteta i Fakulteta organizacionih nauka. godine, tim je učestvovao na najprestižnijem takmičenju u Velikoj Britaniji, na legendarnoj stazi Silve
rston, i takmičio se u klasi II (idejni projekat vozila bez izrade). Na ovom takmičenju smo osvojili 3. U sezoni 2012, tim “Drumska Strela” takmičio se u klasi I, na takmičenjima u Italiji i u Velikoj Britaniji, sa najvećim svetskim timovima. Direktori velikih kompanija poput Airbus-a I Mercedes-Benz-a su lično posetili boks našeg tima. Bili su impresionirani činjenicom da je jedan mali tim iz Srbije uspeo da za godinu dana od koncepta vozila stvori kompetitivan bolid, bez prethodnog takmičarskog iskustva. U sezoni 2013 dizajn i izrada vozila se podižu na viši novo. Odlazi se na tri takmičenja, u Češku, Mađarsku i Italiju, gde je zabeležen najbolji rezultat do tada, sjajno 10. mesto u generalnom plasmanu od 43 univerzitetska tima iz celog sveta. Za sezonu 2014, bilo je planirano dosta inovacija, od kojih je najveću predstavljao usis varijabilne geometrije. Takođe, projektuje se i aerodinamika vozila i ono te godine po prvi put dobija aero paket. Premijera vozila iz 2014. godine bila je u Austriji, na čuvenoj stazi “Red Bull Ring”. Na drugom takmičenju, na stazi “Autodromo Riccardo Paletti”, tim je zauzeo 15. mesto u konkurenciji od 44 tima. Sezona 2015 je bila jedna od najuspešnijih za tim “Drumska Strela”. Aero paket je unapređen i urađeno je testiranje istog u aero-tunelu, a pedal box i sistem za upravljanje su omogućili vozaču mnogo bolju kontrolu vozila na stazi. Trud se isplatio, jer već na prvom takmičenju, održanom na stazi “Autodromo Most” u Češkoj, tim zauzima fantastično 4. mesto u najzahtevnijoj disciplini, trci izdržljivosti. Te godine, “Drumska Strela” se našla na 9. mestu u generalnom plasmanu, što predstavlja najveći uspeh do tad, i obezbeđuje timu titulu najboljeg u regionu. Sezonu 2016 obeležila su karbonska vlakna. Po prvi put, na ovim prostorima, napravljen je karbonski volan, kao i ceo aero paket. Znatno je snižena masa vozila, i urađena su testiranja hladnjaka. “Drumska Strela” učestvovala je na tri takmičenja, u Italiji, Češkoj i Mađarskoj, pri čemu se ističe rezultat iz Italije, gde je osvojeno 3. mesto u klasi III, za idejni koncept vozila na električni pogon. U šestoj sezoni, Formula Student tim „Drumska Strela”, još jedno vozilo projektuje iznova. Na njegovom projektovanju i izradi sada učestvuje preko 60 mladih inženjera, studenata Beogradskog univerziteta. Oslonjeni na iskustva iz prethodnih sezona, kao i na primene najnovijih tehnologija dostupnih na našem tržištu, potrudićemo se da inovacije pretočimo u, najkvalitetniji konačni proizvod do sada. Nadamo se da će takvo vozilo biti konkurentno na najjačim evropskim takmičenjima, koje je tim odabrao kao prioritete. Od unapređenja na vozilu planiranano je:
- smanjivanje ukupne mase vozila
- smanjenje visine težišta
- optimizacija sistema za pogon i elektroniku, sistema za oslanjanje
- implementacija radio komunikacije između vozača i boksa tima. Takođe, nadamo se većoj podršci privrede i institucija, kao i javosti, kako bismo imali dovoljno finansijskih sredstava za realizaciju projekta. Želimo da u predstojećoj takmičarskoj sezoni projektujemo i izradimo vozilo koje može da parira vozilima velikih svetskih Univerziteta!
‘Road Arrow’ was founded by students from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Belgrade in November of 2010. The team consisted of twelve students from the faculties of Mechanical Engineering and Organizational Sciences. In the first season, in 2011, the team took part in the most prestigious competition in the UK at the legendary Silverstone track, competing in Class II (preliminary design of the vehicle without assembly). We came in 3rd place. In the 2012 season, the ‘Road Arrow’ team decided to compete in Class I, against some of the world’s strongest teams, with traditions of over 10 years. Directors from world renown companies such as Airbus and Mercedes-Benz have personally visited our teams box. They were impressed with the fact that a small team from Serbia managed to create a competitive vehicle from a conceptual idea, without practically any prior competitive experience. In the 2013 season, the design and manufacturing of the vehicle are raised to a new level. We took part in 3 competitions, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Italy, where we achieved our best result to date, an amazing 10th place in the general standings from 43 University teams from the entire world. New innovative ideas were planned for the 2014 season, the most innovative being the variable intake manifold, implemented for the first time on the vehicle using the newest technological advancements. Also, the cars aerodynamics were designed and implemented through a new aerodynamic body. The “FSRA2014” was premiered in competition in Austria at the “RedBull Ring”. The second competition, also the final one of the season for “Road Arrow”, held in Italy at the “Autodromo Riccardo Paletti”, where the team came 15th out of 44 University teams. The 2015 season was one of the most successful for our team. The new “aero-package” was greatly improved and first tested in an aero tunnel, while the pedal box and steering system were able to provide the driver with much better control of the vehicle on the track. The hard work paid off and for the first competition in the Czech Republic, at the “Autodromo Most”, the team takes a fantastic 4th place in the most demanding discipline, the endurance race. That took the team to an overall 9th place in general standings, which in terms of position, was the team’s best placement and gave the team the title of best team in the region. The 2016 season was marked with the implementation of carbon fiber. For the first time in the region, we made a carbon steering wheel as well as the entire aerodynamic body. A considerable amount of weight was reduced and the cool-box was tested. ‘Road Arrow’ took part in three competitions, Italy, the Czech Republic and Hungary. The team was most successful in Italy, where we came 3rd in Class III, the design concept of an electric vehicle. In the sixth season, the Road Arrow Formula Student team designs another vehicle again. At this moment, 60 young engineers, students of the University of Belgrade, are taking part in its design and production. Relying on the experience from previous seasons, along with the application of the newest technology available on our market, we aim take our innovations and transform them into a product of the highest quality to date. We hope that such a vehicle will be competitive at the fiercest European competitions, which the team has selected as its priorities. The advancements planned to be implemented are:
- reducing the total mass of the vehicle
- lower the center of gravity
- optimizing the powertrain, electronics and suspension systems
- implementing radio communication between the driver and the team box. Also, we hope for more support from the economy and institutions, as well as the public, in order to attain the necessary finances for the realization of the project. In the upcoming season, we hope to design and manufacture a vehicle that can compete against vehicles from other renown university teams.
