2025 Intercontinental GT Challenge - Suzuka 1000km 🇯🇵
The big race of the year is done and dusted 🏁
What an incredible effort by the entire team!
Drivers James, Franky, and Andy delivered a sensational performance in qualifying, securing P3 overall among the best GT3 teams and drivers in the world.
With this achievement, WE MADE HISTORY! 🎉
In the 10-year history of the Intercontinental GT Challenge, we became the first-ever SILVER class car to qualify in the top 3. A truly monumental moment that took sheer skill and determination. 😎💪
We started the race from P3, with Franky instantly battling for P2 by the second corner. And this is when radio messages started "something feels strange with the RL tire". We lost a couple of positions with the low grip on the RL, but the pace was strong, and Franky delivered a flawless first stint right at the front among the world's best.
Unfortunately, our race was cut short. We had to stop one lap earlier than expected, forced by unexpectedly low fuel levels—the first sign that something was wrong. Immediately after the first pit stop, the issue became clear that we were losing fuel. Team worked hard to fix it and the car was able to rejoin the race, then few hours later take the checkered flag.
We will come back stronger, but truth be told—we were pretty much as strong as it gets.
But we will come back better.
It was a tough and frustrating end to what began as a historic weekend, but that’s motorsport.
