how to choose a rapid prototype factory? what's the purpose of making a prototype?

1, to test the structure, prototype is to test if the structure is ok. including the shape, curve, etc, generally we would use ABS material and PC material to produce the structure prototype to check if the structure of the product works.

2, to reduce the risk, we use prototype to test if there is some design defects, if we go directly without a prototype test, it might cost thousands and millions loss, which might lead to a fatal failure in business. while to make a prototype is to avoid this risk.

recently I have a client who is from USA, he searches a lot of prototype suppliers in shenzhen, finally he calls me and we become his supplier, we had a pleasant talk and we showed him around our factory and sample room by video call, our factory really impressed him a lot.
