HAVE YOU CHECKED YOUR TIRE PRESSURE TODAY?
Hello guys I welcome you all to another episode of AGMs tips on tyre care. Remember we're just a phone call away/a few minutes drive to handle your tyres or rim problem.
Checking your tyre's air pressure from time to time is a practice every driver should do because when you don't, your tyres suffer the consequences if they're not properly inflated. Stay with me;

When your tyre pressure is insufficient (image 1) your tyre eats on the corners leaving the middle. If you notice this you have to get it fixed. It makes driving hard as the steering becomes a bit heavy.

When your tyre is over inflated (image 3) the middle part of your tyre finishes very fast. This situation also makes driving uncomfortable and your tyre's lifespan is greatly reduced. Moreover your tyre risks bending or exploding.
1mage 2 shows how your tyre looks when inflated properly. The tyre finishes as it should, your ride is enjoyable and most importantly your tyre last longer.
Most of ours roads in Cameroon are very poor, characterised by potholes and very rough terrain. For tyres to last longer drivers need to properly inflate them. Personally I've received numerous complains from drivers because they're buying tyres too often. The problem isn't the tyre, our roads are.

HOW MUCH AIR SHOULD I PUT IN MY TYRE.
This is a very important detail every driver needs to know because it plays a vital role in the overall performance of your car. This information is important for most drivers in Africa and Cameroon in particular.
All tyres have a specific pressure limit as indicated in picture "A". This pressure is the maximum for that particular tyre and not the recommended air pressure for your vehicle.
To know the required pressure your car needs check the door jamb on the driver's side of your vehicle (Picture B) or the vehicle's user manual.
Putting the recommended air pressure makes the vehicle comfortable while driving and also your tyres aren't under stress.
On the door jamb/ manual you'll equally find the correct tyre size of your vehicle if you're not sure, the required air pressure for the front tyres and the back tyres ; the air pressure for both front and back tyres are not the same for some cars.
Now you know the correct tyre size of your vehicle, the correct air pressure for your car.

KNOW THIS BEFORE YOU BUY A TYTE PART 2
From the previous post about tyre sizes, the last part of every tyre size carries a letter, which tells you the maximum speed that tire can handle.
Looking at the picture displayed below, letter H as the example tells us that this tyre can handle speed above 200km/h.
Different tyres carry different letters depending on their purpose as shown on the list below.
So when buying your tyres keep that in mind so that if you cover long distances you'd know what type of tyre to fit on your car so your tyres last longer.
The more you follow this page, the more knowledge you gain about tyres for as humans have feet cars have tyres and taking care of them is very important.

KNOW THIS BEFORE YOU BUY A TYRE

Hello guys once again I welcome you to AGM AUTO TYRES platform your one stop tyre and Rim ( wheel drum) problem solver. I know some of you have bought tyres before without knowing exactly what they're buying. Before you purchase your next tyre kindly read this .
The first thing you'll be asked when ever you want to get a tyre is " what size" that's because tyres come in sizes ranging from size 12 to 24.
Now to the picture on this post the 215/60/R17 96H is an example of what you'll find on every tyre and that is the size of that tyre. let me break it further

215, is the width of the tyre measured in millimeters .

60, is the height of the tyre measured in millimeters.

R stands for radial, it tells you the tyre's construction

17, is the diameter of the tyre. This number helps you to know the rim to fit on, in other words this number must be the same as the rim( wheel drum) for you to able to fit the tyre.

H is the speed rating. some tyres carry S,VP,W,L,V etc. This letter helps you to know the maximum speed your tyre can handle.
If you were patient enough to read till the end, I bet you learned something new. Please like, share or drop your comments below for further clarification. Stay tuned for more updates about tyres.
