More global efforts are needed around the optimization, regulation and demand creation for the production and use of as a green energy vector, if we are to get on track with Net Zero Emissions by 2050 Scenario.
This is one of the conclusions of a report on Hydrogen by the International Energy Agency (@ internationalenergyagency) from September 2022.
We’re happy to see one of our target partner markets is doing a lot in this field. Japanese Toshiba led the launch in 2020 of the Fukushima Hydrogen Energy Research Field, better known as . This is today’s largest hydrogen production plant, which uses solar power to produce green hydrogen for industrial use, including in .
Multilateral cooperation in this area has grown in the past one year in efforts to stimulate the research, development, regulation and deployment of key hydrogen technologies, with initiatives like the Breakthrough Agenda, the Clean Hydrogen Partnership, and the Hydrogen Action Pact.
However, the report states that there is an urgent need to stimulate demand for -emissions hydrogen and to demonstrate the key hydrogen technologies, so that they can deliver CO2 emission savings at scale by 2030.
At ZESST by Almatech we are proud to contribute to these efforts by showcasing purposeful deployment of hydrogen in green water transport solutions which are not only innovative and sustainable, but also exceptionally comfortable and attractive.
