What a week! Two identical BMWs sold in just a few days.

I was in Aix-en-Provence, where the sun is shining and the cicadas are singing.

This is a car I really enjoy. It has a high-quality finish, great driving feel, and a perfect service history with BMW Monaco. A rare and unexpected gem.

You don’t buy this car just because it’s reliable. You buy it because it gives you real driving pleasure.

Beast of the week! I had to hunt down this monster in the lands of Brittany (La Bretagne!)

First time there!

To make it short, I have never received such a warm welcome anywhere than there outside the Pays de Gex.

Between the history, the food, and the people, it was simply amazing. Unfortunately, I had to leave quite quickly to drive the car back and deliver it.

But I look for any occasion to go there again!

When I look at the results of my work in these transactions over the years, I start by looking at the cars I bought and later sold.

To measure the depreciation, which reflects the quality and value of what I bring, I only consider the car itself: the purchase date, the sale date, and how its value changed over time.

I do not include insurance costs. I do not include expenses that you would have had anyway for owning a car. I also do not include bodywork repairs resulting from specific accidents or personal circumstances. You would have them whatever the car you buy.

The only thing I focus on is the vehicle and its depreciation over the years. Without going into the numbers, I can honestly & humbly say that my results in this area have been quite good.

If you are thinking about buying a hybrid car, please avoid plug in hybrids. In my opinion, they give you the disadvantages of both electric cars and gasoline cars at the same time.

Most plug in hybrids have a very small electric range. Once the battery is empty, you are basically carrying extra weight everywhere, which increases fuel consumption. And when you want to charge the battery, you still need to stop and wait at a charging station, sometimes for more than thirty minutes.

So in daily life, you deal with the problems of electric cars and the problems of gasoline cars together.

Another important point is resale value. These cars are often much harder to sell later, and they usually lose value faster than normal thermic cars from the same year.

Honestly, it is usually better to go fully electric or choose a normal hybrid that charges itself while driving. But plug in hybrids really sound better on paper than they are in real life. Most people do not realize this until they live with one or try to resell it later.
