🍂🍁Autumn Edition🍁🍂
Fall is my favourite time to talk cars — the weather is changing, and so are a lot of your driving needs. Here are the TOP questions in my inbox right now:
🛑**Q: Seasonal tire changes - worth it or not?**
✅**A:** 100% worth it here in Ontario. All-seasons harden below 7°C and lose grip. A good set of winters isn't just about snow, it's about stopping distance, cornering, and confidence. It also makes your all-seasons last twice as long. I always recommend on rims — saves you money on changeovers.
🛑**Q: What season-specific maintenance should I do right now?**
✅**A:** Think battery, brakes & fluids. Get your battery tested before that first -10 morning, check your coolant/antifreeze strength, top up your winter washer fluid, and make sure your tire tread + brakes are ready for wet leaves and black ice. A 10-minute check now prevents a tow later.
🛑**Q: Front wheel drive vs. all wheel drive — do I *need* AWD?**
✅**A:** You need *good tires* more than you need AWD. FWD with winter tires will outperform AWD with worn all-seasons 9 times out of 10. AWD is amazing for peace of mind, hills, and getting going — but it doesn't help you stop. Let's talk about where you drive, not just what the brochure says.
🛑 **Q: Gas vs. Hybrid vs. Electric?**
✅**A:** There's no wrong answer, only what's right for YOUR life.
Gas = lower upfront cost, simple.
Hybrid = amazing for city driving, commuting, and young families watching fuel costs.
Electric/PHEV = quiet, instant torque, and perfect if you can charge at home. We’ll look at your commute, budget, and charging options together — no judgment.
🛑 **Q: Is this the BEST time of year to get a great deal?**
✅**A:** It’s one of them! Fall is when dealerships are clearing remaining 2026s to make room for 2027s, plus pre-owned inventory is strong after summer. If you’re thinking about a move before winter, let’s start the conversation now while selection + incentives are both in your favour.
