Most shops spin balance your wheels and send you on your way. That only checks weight. It won't catch a tire that's out of round, or one with a stiff spot in the sidewall.

Road force presses a roller into the tire at driving pressure, so we're reading it under load instead of spinning it in the air. Completely different picture.

Still getting a shake at 100 after a fresh balance? This is usually why.

Heads up if you were planning to finance winter tires through MPI.

As of October 1, only true winter tires qualify for the Winter Tire Program. The tire needs the Three Peak Mountain Snowflake symbol, and it has to be built and marketed for winter only.

All-weathers are out. So are all-seasons, four-seasons, and anything sold for year-round use, even if it carries the snowflake.

If you were counting on financing a set of all-weathers this fall, September 30 is your last day. Come talk to us before then.
