Ok, itβs time to share whatβs going on with me.
On Saturday, April 18th, I slipped on the last ice of the season at work and twisted my ankle.
The pain was intense β stars in my eyes, my body went weak, and I literally sat on the ice for a few minutes because I couldnβt stand up, even with help.
And my first thought wasnβt even about the injury β I had 4 appointments that day. The sales season had just started, clients were waiting, and I didnβt want to let anyone down.
My managers and colleagues told me to go to the hospital right away. But since I could still move my toes and ankle (with pain, but I could), I hoped nothing was broken β even though I heard a cracking sound β and I kept going.
I completed 3 more test drives that day, literally jumping around cars during walk-around presentations. It was painful and exhausting. Huge thank you to my team β they helped bring cars closer so I didnβt have to move too much.
After work, my beloved Alexey Zemlyanoy took me to Concordia Urgent Care. And honestlyβ¦ Iβm not sure βurgentβ is the right word. One doctor for the entire department β I spent 15 hours there for about 1 hour of actual treatment.
I went home with a cast.
Now Iβm on medical leave for at least a month. I can barely move around the apartment on crutches β after just a few minutes, Iβm exhausted. I have to keep my foot elevated most of the time.
Not the timing I wanted β the busiest sales season just started.
But it is what it is. Recovery mode on.
For now, Iβm not able to meet in person or do test drives.
But Iβm still available for consultations by phone β choosing a car, comparing options, financing questions, strategy β I can help you remotely. And, if you are ready to move forward with test-drive, I'll make an appointment for you with one of my managers.
Next week, Iβll have a follow-up with a specialist. Iβll keep you updated.
