🚙🖤 Welcome to the Birchwood Ford Family, Shaun from Thunder Bay, Ontario! 🖤🚙

At the end of last month, Shaun reached out looking to trade his silver 2016 F-150 XLT XTR SuperCrew 4x4, 2.7L EcoBoost, with just 96,000 km, for a 2026 F-150 STX.

His initial budget had us quite a bit apart, so I sent Shaun a quick video explaining so and that I didn’t want to waste his time or insult him with a trade difference that wasn’t going to work. Shaun appreciated the honesty and the personal touch of the video, and we left the door open.

A 3 weeks later (This past Thursday) I reached back out & Shaun told me he had increased his budget. My Sales Manager, Dondee and I reworked the numbers, and we found a way to make it work on the exact truck Shaun wanted on Friday by 3pm, a brand-new Carbonized Grey 2026 F-150 STX that had just arrived from the factory just days before. 🙌 and even had our Service team install a soft tonneau cover before the team left at 6:00.

Shaun hopped into his truck 2 hours later to make the trek to Winnipeg (overnighting with the in-laws in Fort Francis, This morning Shaun completed the 7 hour journey from Thunder Bay to Winnipeg, and even had our Service team install a soft tonneau cover before pickup.

Today, Shaun completed the paperwork with his Finance Manager Tyrone Brown and was thrilled to see his new F-150 waiting in our delivery pod. Noah, our Delivery Coordinator, walked him through the features, set up his phone and Ford app, and made sure he knew all the new features on his new F-150.

Then Shaun hit the road back to Ontario, having spent less than six hours in Manitoba! 😳

Before he left, I asked him:

“Why would you drive 14 hours to pick up a vehicle?”

His answer:

Selection. Price. Customer experience.

I’d be lying if I said that’s the first time I’ve heard that answer from our clients from NW Ontario. ❤️

🚙❤️ Welcome to the Birchwood Ford Family, Jaleen & Raphael! ❤️🚙

Sometimes you find a vehicle that just makes sense, and the Ford Maverick was a perfect fit for Raphael and his business, R2 Renovations, specializing in drywall and painting.

At the beginning of the month Raphael reached out through AutoTrader looking for a new Maverick. Compact, great on fuel and still capable enough for his work, it checked a lot of boxes.

The next day, Raphael and Jaleen came in for a test drive and really liked it. The only hesitation was their upcoming wedding trip to the Philippines in November. They weren’t sure they wanted vehicle payment(s) while they were out of the country…

I explained that our current employee pricing incentives made the Maverick a great opportunity, but I couldn’t guarantee what 2026 Mavericks would be available when they returned. After giving it some thought, they came back Monday evening and we put together a deal that worked.

I even managed to turn the sale into a little extra business for Raphael! 😄 I passed his information along to a family member looking for drywall and painting work, so hopefully that helps put a little money toward those Maverick payments while they’re away.

Today, Raphael and Jaleen drove away with big smiles in their new Carbonized Grey Maverick XLT with the Luxury Package! 🎉

🚙🖤 From Thunder Bay to Winnipeg, and Back Home Again! 🖤🚙

Please join me in welcoming Melanie and Jake to the Birchwood Ford Family! ❤️

A few months ago, Jake reached out from Thunder Bay looking for a new truck. After a few weeks of back-and-forth, nothing quite came together.

Then, earlier this month, Jake spotted an Agate Black 2025 F-150 STX on our website. Since he couldn’t get to Winnipeg, he visited his local Ford dealership and drove a 2026 STX to see what the package was all about.

Jake sent me the specs of that one, and our pre-owned 2025 STX with only 28,000 km was almost a feature-for-feature match, while being considerably less expensive. That got Melanie involved, and we were off!

Melanie is a real estate agent in Thunder Bay, so finding time to connect between two busy salespeople wasn’t easy. 😂 There were plenty of calls, voicemails and texts, but we kept things moving.

I made Melanie a video of the truck and even took it for a drive myself so I could be their eyes & ears from Winnipeg. Everything looked great, although the soft tonneau cover had a rip. We were also sending the truck through reconditioning, Safety and the body shop, making the timeline pretty tight with the long weekend.

Then we hit a snag. The tonneau cover couldn’t be repaired before their pickup.

So we pivoted! 💪

Our Used Car Manager Robin and I found a much nicer Ford-branded hard tri-fold tonneau cover from another truck and swapped it over.

Problem solved!

Melanie and Jake arrived Saturday, and it was fantastic seeing their reaction when they finally saw the truck in person. They were already planning a stop at IKEA before making the trip back to Thunder Bay. 😄

Thank you both for trusting me from several hours away to help find the right truck. It was a pleasure working with you, and I hope you enjoy every kilometre in your new-to-you F-150!

❤️🚙 A Very Special Birchwood Family Delivery! 🚙❤️

Today’s delivery is a little more personal than most.

I’m incredibly excited to welcome my cousin James to the Birchwood Family!

Last week, I got a call from my Aunt Hanna, who was flying into Winnipeg for her annual visit with her brothers over the long weekend. She also had some exciting news: her son, my cousin James, a scaffolder living and working in Edmonton, was looking for a truck. His old one had reached the end of the road.

James had a healthy budget and had already found something that caught his eye: a beautiful Blue 2017 Chevrolet Silverado LT Crew Cab with only 130,000 km! 💙

I reached out to my buddy Scott over at Birchwood Chevrolet, who I used to work with. Scott knew the truck well because it had belonged to one of his longtime clients, and he told me they had taken meticulous care of it.

I then connected with Kiefer and Devon at the Chevy store, and we were able to put together a special Friends & Family deal for my cousin.

James didn’t waste any time. He ran to the bank, sent over a certified cheque for the full amount, and just like that, we had a truck heading to Alberta!

And here’s the best part…

My Aunt Hanna decided to cancel her flight home and is currently driving the Silverado all the way back to Alberta for James! ❤️

I’m incredibly grateful for the love and support my family has always shown me, especially when it comes to helping friends and family find their next vehicle.

Welcome to the Birchwood Family, James! I know this Silverado is going to be a fantastic truck for you, and I can’t wait to see you put it to work in Alberta.

🚙❤️ Welcome Back, Jaycee, to the Birchwood Ford Family! ❤️🚙

Some vehicle deliveries are exciting. Others come with a little more drama!

Jaycee and Kashina are two incredibly awesome and inspiring people who are very active in their community. They spend their time teaching others about their traditional ways and performing ceremonies for others, and you can tell they are two people who are going places. It made helping them through this situation that much more meaningful.

Back in 2023, Jaycee purchased a 2017 F-150 from us. After putting plenty of kilometres on it with Kashina, Jaycee called (that I took) on Monday August 24th after the truck left him stranded on the side of the road.

I connected Jaycee with Jordan Zadro in our Service Department, who arranged the tow. The next day, we got the bad news: the engine was in serious trouble and needed to be replaced, with a repair bill that would have been astronomical.

Jaycee was surprisingly & incredibly calm about the situation, and we wanted to do everything we could to help. After looking at the numbers, trading the truck toward something newer and more reliable made much more sense than putting that kind of money into an engine on an older truck.

Jaycee and Kashina came in Thursday the 27th, and Jaycee mentioned that another truck wasn’t necessarily what Jaycee needed anymore. An SUV would work.

So I sent them out on a Test Drive in a brand-new Carbonized Grey Bronco Sport Big Bend.They came back smiling. 😁 We worked out the numbers, and the payments looked good. The only question was approval, especially with some negative equity.

Jaycee was hopeful but not overly confident, so I told Jaycee, “Our Finance team is top-notch. Don’t worry about it, keep Monday the 31st free!

Sure enough, Brenda in Finance, who had worked with Jaycee before, got Jaycee approved!

When Jaycee walked through the doors Monday with that huge smile, I couldn’t resist giving Jaycee the “I told you not to worry!” 😄

Most importantly, Jaycee and Kashina now have a reliable SUV that’s better on fuel and better suited to their Ceremonial & preforming needs.

Welcome back to the Birchwood Ford Family, Jaycee and Kashina! ❤️ It was a pleasure helping turn a stressful situation into something positive.
