MPI winter tire financing program Update:

This notice from Manitoba Public Insurance is announcing a Winter Tire Program eligibility change effective October 1, 2026.

Starting October 1, 2026, a tire must meet both requirements to qualify for Winter Tire Program financing:
Have the Three-Peak Mountain Snowflake (3PMSF) symbol and be designed and marketed exclusively for winter driving, including snow and/or ice.

Tires that will no longer qualify:
Even if they have the 3PMSF symbol, these will be excluded:
All-weather tires
All-season tires
Four-season tires
Year-round tires
Any tire advertised or promoted for continuous year-round use.
