Derick brought his beautiful STI sedan in for a maintenance haul and some upgrades!

We knocked out the following items while the engine was out:

- stage 1 clutch kit + flywheel
- clutch hardware, rear main seal, coolant crossover pipes/hoses
- new AC compressor assembly
- removed the rusty exhaust manifold heat shields that car known to rattle violently with age
- complete cooling system flush
- timing belt inspection

Normally we would remove the transmission for a clutch replacement, but with all of the other items needing replacement we decided to go engine out instead.

This unit runs and drives like new, Derick purchased this car from us last year and has been taking great care of it since.

We’ve had the pleasure of working on this 2015 Subaru Forester XT for the last few years. This tastefully modified unit belongs to our good friends from - They are our go to team for oil spray and vehicle underbody maintenance!

This time we just wrapped up a major maintenance haul just before the client hits 300,000KM.

We knocked out the following items so the clients who continue to drive the car for the next 100,00!

- carbon cleaning service
- spark plug replacement
- CVT service
- differential services
- cooling system flush
- engine oil service
- wheel bearing replacement

This is a perfect example of how reliable these cars are when treated right. These clients are up to date on maintenance and it shows! Here’s to the next 100K.

Our 2004 STI “restoration” project is coming to an end!

This has been an ongoing build for the last 3 years. We will have YouTube video coming out shortly covering the whole process, but here’s the short story!

We’ve had the car 10+ years. It was a bare shell with no drivetrain. Igor and I decided it was time to revive it. Came up with a game plan and got to work.

We stripped the car to a shell, no gas tank, no subframes, interior etc. Then purchased a 2005 STI as a donor car and got right to work.

Over the course of three years we completely repainted the car, refreshed and replaced almost every suspension and under body component, rebuilt the brakes, engine assembly and steering. The car has the complete suspension and steering catalogue underneath. The interior was swapped over from the donor car and cleaned up as we went.

Spare parts we collected over the years were put to use and the end result turned out amazing. Plans are to hold onto it for now, use it for some events and just preserve the condition. It’s a time capsule now and if you see the car in person it’s something to appreciate.

Every member of our staff, past and present has their hands and efforts into this project.

We’ve had a ton of newer Subarus flowing through the shop this year already! Whether they are still under warranty or just expired we can maintain them. Reminder we offer similar maintenance packages to OEM with our own spin on them! All of these vehicles were in for general service/maintenance.

That’s a wrap on the 2026 Detroit Auto Show! We had an incredible opportunity to speak with CBC Radio and CBC TV/Web.
