1967 didn't grow the Mustang for the sake of change, it grew it to survive. Bigger body, a big-block V8 finally fitting under the hood, and a redesign built specifically to answer the new Camaro. Swipe through for what actually changed that year, and why the rarest 1967 combo is still one of the hardest finds in Mustang history.

Did you know 1967 was the last year for the 289 Hi-Po?

Nobody's handing them a manual. They're just standing next to a hood that's up, watching someone explain a carburetor for the third time to a different stranger, and somehow it sticks.

They're learning that cars used to be simple enough to actually understand, that patience gets rewarded, and that grown-ups still get excited about things.

Turns out we're apparently easy to deal with, our staff knows a K-code from a regular GT, and someone even called back after the sale just to make sure everything was perfect. One customer already has next project plans lined up with us. We'll take it.

Got a story like that? Drop us a review, we'd love to read it.

Maybe it was a first-year fastback, a Boss you'd only ever seen in photos, or something so obscure you had to look up the trim just to be sure.
