Well the team put their best effort into this event and try to get the vehicle running. We did get onto the track however on our 6th lap of the 7 required, our drivetrain chain fell off and we were designated to a DNF. So no official mileage was achieved but by our calculations we would have gotten about 492 MPG (US). We would like to thank Shell for putting on this grand event and all the other teams that helped us throughout the event.

Hope to see many of you at the SAE Supermileage event in June!

We have done it!! After a long and hard 2 days of work we have passed technical inspection, all 12/12 requirements! We look forward to our official run on the Sonoma Raceway tomorrow!

We would like to thank all the technical inspectors that helped us along the way!

With one month of heads up, we worked very hard to finish our gasoline prototype! We got University of Toronto Supermileage Design Team and our vehicles packed up and off on their way to Sonoma California on a 34+ hour drive😵. Hope our drivers are safe and both our vehicles reach safe and sound.

Hey guys! We have some exciting news. UWindsor Supermileage is going to sunny Sonoma, California to participate in the Shell Eco-Marathon on April 19-22. We are very excited to be a part of this competition and are working very hard to represent the University in a positive way and hope to represent the University every year in both Shell Eco-Marathon and SAE Supermileage.

University of Windsor, Supermileage (SAE) is a University capstone team composed of various Engineering disiplined students, from first year to fourth, competing for ultimate fuel efficiency. The team achieved a fuel effiency of 467 MPG (US) in the 2017 SAE competition held in Marshall, MI.

Lancer Motorsports (SAE Supermileage Team) competed at 2017 SAE Supermileage Competition in Marshall, Michigan, USA on June 8-9, 2017.

The team competed with other competitors; the university teams all over from Canada and United States.

We were the 4th team out of 5 teams who passed the pre-inspection on the first day while there were 9 teams who could not pass the pre-inspection on the first day.

On the second day, the vehicle did 3 sets of 6 laps for the fuel economy records. The vehicle achieved 467MPG, which is the 7th highest fuel economy out of 14 teams who went on the track.

The University of Windsor's Lancer Motorsports- Supermileage Team is very proud of the result that we achieved and looking forward to a huge improvement in next year's competition with our new carbon fiber body.
