No automotive repair job is "dealer only."

We are extremely proud to be offering module programming and diagnostics to my customers and aftermarket shops using the same tooling and software as the dealers do. These tools are huge investments, but the jobs need to get done one way or another! Check out our various OEM interfaces!

I'm so sick of all the negativity surrounding our field of auto mechanics. It has ALWAYS been this way. So many complainers who are not willing to do what it takes to rise above. To my young friends out there, be encouraged by your decision to enter this field!

This industry is amazing if you can specialize in something. That way you can separate yourself from the pack and eventually be able to name your price. Yes, there are many things wrong with our field, but there is so much good with it too! If you're a young person in tech school for auto mechanics, be encouraged by all the negativity you hear. Why? Because what it means is there is plenty of room for you! Things are changing for the better, you just need to find the right shop owner, or become one yourself!
I am a father of 4 and my wife has always been able to be home with our children. We never needed her to work outside of the home because we didn't have enough money. This field gave me that job security! I still love it!
What are some other perks? Do you love the beach? Or maybe snowboarding or skiing? There are definitely garages that need techs in those towns! There are jobs for you all over this planet!
Another one, and this one is huge: as an auto technician, you will NEVER need to call someone to fix something in your home! You will be the one fixing it, doesn't matter what it is because our skill set transfers to EVERYTHING!
And these people complaining that we have to buy our own tools? What do you think we fix everything with at home and on our own cars? We need those tools! Sure the garage owners should be buying all of the specialty tools, but having my own tools was never a negative!
To my young friends reading this, GO GET IT!! Oh and specialize in electrical and electronics systems 😊

Take a peak at the inside of our new training facility, where we will be holding our first High Voltage Vehicle technician training course, right here in the middle of Windsor Ontario. Over the next 6 weeks, some of the best technicians in Windsor will be participating in advanced training to service, repair, and diagnose high voltage vehicles.

This past week, technicians from Mihorens Automotive Specialists, Kipping Tire & Automotive LTD, Doctor "J" Auto Clinic Inc, Evoy's Service Garage, MSJ Automotive Tirecraft, and Willis Service Centre Ltd participated in our Advanced Lab Scope Functions class. These technicians are some of the best, and serious about advancing their knowledge in the trade.

We're halfway through our summer training program put on by Doctor "J" Auto Clinic Inc, but don't hesitate to contact us if you're in need of training on a number of diagnostic topics. From basic electrical to lab scope pressure transducers, we have you covered.

This week, we spent time at the excellent Portland Community College, where Future Tech Auto Evpro+ 's Dr. Mark Quarto put on the first Electrified Transportation Pro + Level 2 course, laser-focused on the ins and outs of high voltage battery packs. Successful completion of his challenging and informative program offers an SAE-ITC recognized global certification.

Relative compression with a lab scope is one of the best tests a technician can perform when chasing down a dead-hole misfire. An experienced lab scope user can check the general health of the engine within 30 seconds from the driver's seat to help guide their diagnostic process.

Relative Compression is just one of the few tests attendees will practice during the in person, hands-on Lab Scope Fundamentals courses running in June at Doctor "J" Auto Clinic Inc.
