⚠️ IMPORTANT NOTICE TO OUR VALUED CUSTOMERS ⚠️

County Towing would like to make the public aware of Roadside Assistance scams currently happening in our area. Recently, we became aware of a situation where a consumer was targeted by a fraudulent Roadside Assistance Operation. Unfortunately, the scam had already been completed before it was brought to our attention.

The consumer had searched for AMA on google and the top result was a Roadside Assistance Operation that Charged the Client when performing a dispatch intake, then told the tow truck operator to also charge the client when on scene. This Roadside Assistance Provider also stated that it was against policy for the tow truck operator to disclose any pricing or invoice information to the client, which as of 2026, Alberta Tow Truck and Storage Regulations , is illegal.

At this time, due to privacy regulations and an ongoing Consumer Affairs review, we are unable to disclose the company name involved until authorization has been given.

We strongly encourage all motorists to stay vigilant when requesting roadside or towing services. Before agreeing to service:

✔️ Verify the Roadside Assistance name and Contact information
✔️ Use trusted and reputable roadside assistance providers
✔️ Be cautious of unsolicited tow trucks arriving unexpectedly
✔️ Ask for pricing and identification before service begins
✔️ Research reviews and company legitimacy whenever possible

❌ Do Not Trust Google to Provide you with a Trusted Company as both Towing Companies and Roadside Assistance Providers can pay to have their ad appear above all others.

Good afternoon westlock,

Road condition advisory

As of 12:00PM today Sec HWY 663 from HWY 44 to Sec HWY 801 and Sec HWY 801 from HWY 663 to HWY 661 are both snow packed from ditch to ditch. Plow trucks have been down them both however the roads are still covered.
Please be cautious when driving these roads and slow down when passing tows truck while working on the road side.

Good Morning. We are able to get to some calls today. Unfortunately back roads are still like skating rinks, so we are still having some issues getting to you. Thank you for your patience as we try and get caught up .
