The smoke has been thick lately, and it’s easy to forget that smoke affects more than just the air we breathe it can impact your vehicle too.
here are a few things to keep in mind:

Cabin air filters can clog quickly in smoky conditions.

Keep your vents on recirculate to help keep smoke out of the cabin.

If ash settles on your vehicle, rinse it off gently instead of wiping to avoid scratching the paint.

Just a reminder to help keep your ride (and your lungs) in better shape while the smoke lingers. Stay safe out there.

Happy Friday! For today’s fun fact, we’re shining a light on a tool our technicians use every single day: the Impact Wrench (or impact gun)! 🔧💥

Ever wonder how we get stubborn, rusted lug nuts off a vehicle so quickly without breaking a sweat?

Before it was adapted for automotive shops, early versions of this tool were actually designed for heavy industrial use and manufacturing in the 1930s. It works by storing energy in a rotating internal mass and then delivering it to the output shaft in sudden, high-torque 'blows.' That distinct zzzt-zzzt sound you hear in the shop? That's the sound of thousands of pounds of torque making quick, safe work of a tire change or suspension repair! 🚘🔩
