Its February 2, 2022, about 3 PM. I have decided that it is time to give an update on what is happening at the shop. The answer is nothing. I have probably not spent a week there if you added it all up since the first of November. Here is what has been going on. It started back in August when Murray got sick. For your information he is not bad but is still waiting to get into the heart specialist. Anyway, there was quite a bit of work waiting to be done at the shop when that happened. I undertook to get that done myself. I got some of it done before my ongoing health issues caught up with me which slowed things down even more. About the end of September I had my second Covid shot. A little soreness in the arm, that's all.. Every winter I have recurring back problems and I also suffer from SAD. I thought that I had learned to cope with these after all these years. However this year for whatever reason ( still unknown to me) everything seemed to be a lot worse: more pain, and more depression. Anyway with all the back pain I wasn't moving around and my sciatica kicked in. Now I must say that sciatica and back pain together is real fun. Any way somewhere in the middle of this mess I got exposed to covid. I never had it but there was another 2 weeks lost, which really made no difference anyway because of everything else. Just before Christmas I kind of got things down to where it was manageable and was looking forward to going back after Christmas. Right after Christmas I got a bad cold. Between the cough and the violent sneezes I managed to displace several ribs, several times. I have had broken ribs, cracked ribs, and displaced ribs, and none of them are any fun. Fast forward to now: after numerous visits to a chiropractor, bottles of pain killers, and anti inflammatory drugs, and spending hours with ice packs to combat the inflammation: I am going to attempt the shop tomorrow, unless I have a relapse between now and then. You can bet real money that there will not be a lot of work being done as I do not want a relapse. All of this is forcing me to take a long look at the future of Alternative Cycle Parts. I have not made any decisions yet, and do not plan to until the work left in the shop is completed. Thank you for your time and patience. Tom Wardman
