At 11:39 a.m. Station 1 Virden was paged to a 2 vehicle MVC west of Virden. No extrication was required and EMS attended to driver of vehicle. Thank you to EMS and RCMP for attending scene, and to Virden Towing for removal of vehicle after they are finished attending another incident. Drive safe everyone.

On Dec. 1/25 Virden Station 1 was called to a vehicle on fire @ 11:38 a.m. Crews arrived on scene to a truck in middle of the street with the front end on fire. After a short time crews had flames extinguished. Thanks to vehicle owners quick thinking they towed vehicle from against the house to middle of street to prevent a potential structure fire from happening. Virden Towing, after the fire was put out and debris was cleaned up, removed vehicle from scene, crews returned to Station 1 and were put back in service.

This weekend was a little different, a learning weekend, Heavy Rescue ‘25. Fun was had by all, thanks going out to Randy from JRS Services out of Alberta for coming out n teaching us….
Here’s hoping ‘26 is going to be a lil bigger n better 😉
