Why We Sell Pre-Assembled Truck Campers
Here’s a quick explanation of why our standard pre-designed truck campers and flatbed campers—the Lynx 7, Wolf 6.5, Wolf 8', Wolverine 6.5, and Wolverine 8'—are only available as assembled empty shells, not as flat-packed DIY kits.
The simple answer is that we want you, the end user, to have the best camper possible, backed by a proper warranty.
Since the vast majority of customers have never assembled one of our camper shells before, there’s a real risk of missing a crucial step during assembly. Even a small mistake could lead to costly and frustrating problems down the road—for both you and our team trying to help resolve them.
There’s also less of a cost advantage to a flat-packed kit than you might expect. Compared with a flat-packed kit, having us professionally assemble the shell adds only a couple thousand $. Once you factor in shipping, tools, supplies, and the time required for assembly, the potential savings quickly disappear.
For these reasons, we made the decision to offer our standard truck campers and flatbed campers only as professionally assembled shells.
So why do we advertise DIY flat-packed kits?
We do offer flat-packed kits in certain situations. These include kits for commercial builders purchasing in container-load volumes, as well as larger expedition truck bodies for DIY builders. Our larger expedition-body kits are better suited to DIY assembly and are generally much easier to put together successfully.
At the end of the day, our philosophy is simple: we want to provide you with the best camper possible, backed by the outstanding customer service and support you expect from us.
