Many hands make light work.

If you saw my earlier post you already know the GTO is hurt again. Seems my 60 year old drive shaft, even with new u joints was not up to handle the torque of my SD Performance prepped 464. Third gear with all three carbs wide open was just a little too much and it looks like it spat out both U joints turning the drive shaft into a massive whip. Ben said it looked like I had three hands the shifter was shaking so violently.

We didn't waste any time tearing it apart and today I am off to deliver my trans to Al Kihn to see if the damage extends beyond the broken bearing retainer and bent input shaft. The Autogear M23W trans is about as strong as they come so I'm hoping it will be repairable. Shout out to Lee Grant who dropped everything, came to my rescue and had the car home in my garage within an hour. To my son Ben who held it together when it blew up and was eager to tear it apart and help out with repairs. Thanks to all the friends that reached out and to my wife for her endless support and tolerance of this hobby that takes a lot of my time and energy.

I lost track of how long it's been since I drove this truck. I had the motorcraft quadrajet restored a few years ago, and once I had it back on discovered there was a massive vacuum leak somewhere. I tucked it away with plans to figure it out but never got back to it. Got it sorted this last weekend and running great. I out a few miles on the last few days and moved it to be room mates with the highboy. Need to find a weekend to get the dust off, do some detailing and make a few changes.

2008 Mazda 3 GT Sport 2.3 litre automatic with just 116k km. Nicely equipped with power windows, power door locks with remote keyless entry and security system, air conditioning, cruise control, power mirrors and factory alloy wheels. Fuel efficient and reliable these are great commuter cars. Clean local car in excellent running condition. Exterior has several small scuffs, scratches and dents but overall still presents well and drives great. Please review all pics carefully to see damage.

The eagle has landed! After several months in her home away from home my 65 GTO is back in Victoria and we are once again racking up the miles.

Last August I had a comp cams lifter fail on route to Edmonds Wa.

In what could have been a total disaster, my good buddy Brad came to my rescue and generously offered his help to pull the motor and then stored the car while we got it fixed. Brad was there for every step, and even trailered my car to the ferry in PA for the last leg of it's journey home. The guy is a total beauty, and so is his dad Brian who was there for all the action, lending a hand and making sure we didn't miss anything.

I'm humbled by all the friends that came out of the woodwork to help.
Brad, Patricia, Robert, Jordan, Dave , Brian, Lisa, Gabby to name a few that offered support and help along the way.

Robert was the star of the show manhandling that Muncie and Dave extracted every last bit of power on his Dyno. Trish made sure we didn't go hungry!

Overall I have to say we turned what could have been a drag into a fun bunch of hangouts. We got a chance to connect like we haven't for years which was great.

One thing about this old GTO is, that over the years, it has brought me close to so many people. Those friendships have been everlasting.
