Thinking about going electric… but wondering what it actually costs?

We broke it down using real numbers here in Victoria:

Most EV drivers spend $20–$45/month charging at home
Gas is around $2.10/L on Vancouver Island
That’s a potential savings of $200–$230+ every month

We used vehicles like the Kia Niro EV and EV9 to show what it really looks like — no guesswork.

This one feels a little different to share, but in a good way.

After getting to know the team at Threshold Housing over the past year, I’ve found myself thinking a lot more about the work they do—and how important it is.

They’re supporting youth before they end up experiencing homelessness, which is something that really stuck with me.

I recently reached out to learn more about their Board of Directors, just to better understand how they operate and where they’re headed. No big announcement or anything—just a step toward getting more involved and learning.

Sometimes the best way to support something is to get a little closer to it.

After a Vancouver Island winter… sometimes your car says it best.

Between road brine, rain, and months of grime, your vehicle goes through more than you might think—even here in Victoria. And while a quick wash helps, it doesn’t always reach where winter does the most damage.

Spring is the perfect time to reset:
✔️ Undercarriage clean
✔️ Deep exterior wash & protection
✔️ Interior refresh after months of moisture

It’s not just about looking good—it’s about protecting your Kia for the months ahead.

If your car is starting to send you messages… it might be time to detail it yourself, or ask one of our experts to help.

Winter on Vancouver Island might not look like the rest of Canada—but it still takes a toll on your vehicle. Between coastal road brine, constant rain, and temperature swings, your Kia quietly collects contaminants that can lead to corrosion, worn components, and reduced performance. And despite w...
