Well 2024 is over and done with, it was a very interesting year in the car industry thatā€™s for sure. I am proud to say that I did end up winning salesmen of the year for 2024 for Vernon Hyundai. Thank you to all that supported me whether it be through purchases, referrals, or just support for myself through the roller coaster that can be the Car industry. I think one common misconception of the car industry is that because I work at a Hyundai store, that thatā€™s all I sell. With a refresh of my social media page, I thought I would write a little bit about myself and share some photos of my life outside the car industry. I donā€™t usually like to talk about myself but here it goes. I am born and raised in Vernon, B.C. and have spent most of life here outside of years when I was just out of high school working in Northern B.C. and Alberta. Growing up here I did my schooling at Alexis Park, Kidston and Kal Secondary. Once I realized post secondary wasnā€™t for me and I was tired of working away all the time, I decided I was going to follow in my dadā€™s footsteps and become a realtor in town. While I was working on the course the opportunity to join the car industry came about. I said to myself when opportunity slaps you in the face you may as well roll with it. 6 years later Iā€™d say Iā€™m pretty grateful for that opportunity. In my spare time you can find me around town at many of the local sport facilities : Rosterā€™s squash league, Vernon Curling club, Lincoln Lanes, Vernon Golf and Country Club, DND fields where I am now trying to help grow Vernon Coed Slo-Pitch as part of the board of their not for profit organization. Sports has always been a big part of my life growing up in Vernonā€™s minor sports leagues. Iā€™ve always said Iā€™m good at lots of sports but not great at any hence not being a pro athlete and being in car sales. I understand what it is to be a local here and the importance of shopping locally and hopefully over the next 20+ years I can be someone for my customers to trust and keep their business locally!
