I am now a certified VQ35 wizard thanks to this Infiniti and its constant attention seeking behaviour šŸ¤£ this lovely thing spent about a month in my care as I coaxed it back to life from a previous state of deep neglect , and I grew very fond of it honestly .

Pictured here is how far you have to disassemble it to do a knock sensor , because putting it on the side of the block would have made too much sense šŸ˜®ā€šŸ’Ø one of the many undertakings on this particular car

And so it beginsā€¦ tire season is here and itā€™s already taken off in a big way . I have an entire truck load of tires coming my way this week ; so if youā€™re waiting for your set itā€™s not far off now šŸ˜Œ

From bent nearly rusted through rims , the original tires from 2004, bad bearings and crusty drums to nice and fresh with brand new rims and tires to boot ! Starting fresh from the spindles up is always so satisfying šŸ˜Œ

Time to get back to some more positive posts , and something that Iā€™m super super proud of .

Recently I began the process of rebuilding an air cooled 1600cc engine from a 1971 vw bus . What started out as a simple top end , pistons and cylinder replacement unfortunately turned into an entire motor rebuild as cylinder 3 had a hole in the piston . Hereā€™s where we started and hereā€™s where weā€™re currently at!

Generally I work solo but on this project I had my 2 best friends help me out , my friend Kyle has a sweet baja bug of his own and his knowledge of some items has been invaluable , and my friend Riley was nice enough to let us use his families wood shop so we had an indoor space to do all this work . So so thankful for that šŸ˜Œ

Also huge shoutout to Avr Import Specialties for building a fantastic shortblock for us !

Hey everyone
I canā€™t believe Iā€™m making another post like this , but I wanted to shed some light as to why response time may be a little slow , or I may be taking a bit longer to complete things these past few weeks

A little over a week ago I very suddenly lost someone who has been an inspiration , teacher, mentor, and to be honest, a best friend to me for the entire time I have been so blessed to know him. A lot of you got to meet my father in law Ted , and I am so incredibly sad to let you all know that he has passed after a very brave and valiant , but brief battle with cancer .

I owe the success of this entire operation to him , and he was very much an integral part of all of it . I canā€™t quite articulate into words just how thankful I am for him, everything he did for and made possible for me , everything he taught me , and the immense amount of guidance he gave me as I got all of this off the ground .

Things will get back to normal soon, and nothing will change about MoonTan or the way that I operate it , I just need a little bit of time to ease off the gas a little bit and spend some time with family , meaning I can still take care of anything you lovely people need , there just may be a day or two more of waiting because I just do not have it in me to work till 3am like I normally do

With an immense amount of gratitude and love ;
Jordan

Hey everyone !
The past few weeks have been 90+ hours each! Iā€™ve said it before and Iā€™ll say it again, you guys really are the best, and Iā€™m so thankful for each and every one of you šŸ™

The week of June 28th to July 3rd Iā€™m going to attempt to take the week off for my birthday, but also to catch up on some sleep and go to the chiropractor šŸ¤•šŸ¤£ but if any emergencies should arise , Iā€™ll be here !

If ever I havenā€™t followed up on something and itā€™s been a few days , PLEASE!! double , triple or quadruple text me ! Itā€™s never a bother and itā€™s actually super appreciated !

From scheduling , diagnostics , ordering , answering calls and texts , sourcing parts , installing parts , doing tires ect .. itā€™s all just me running the whole show , so sometimes things may get missed ; but I promise to always do my very best to stay on top of everything šŸ˜Œ

With endless appreciation and gratitude , Jordan
